Post-level handoffs across every site you cover

Security operations run distributed shifts across many sites, often with different clients and different post orders. Continuity is the product you are selling.

The shift-change problem

When a post changes hands, the incoming officer inherits access issues, equipment faults, open incidents and client instructions that may only exist in the outgoing officer's head. Clients notice when the same issue is reported to them three times, or not at all.

What commonly gets lost

  • Access control faults, broken locks and camera outages
  • Open incidents awaiting client or law enforcement follow-up
  • Temporary client instructions and special event coverage
  • Equipment issued to a post and not returned
  • Patrol exceptions and areas that could not be cleared

How Shift Relay supports the workflow

Supervisors open the shift by site, assign posts, publish the briefing with client-specific notices, and officers log patrol and incident entries during the shift. The outgoing handoff carries open items to the next shift and produces a clean record for client reporting.

Example use cases

  • Handing off an unresolved access control fault with a documented owner
  • Producing a defensible written record of what each post reported
  • Tracking issued equipment across shifts and posts
  • Exporting a shift log for a client report

Security considerations

Every record is scoped to your organization and, where you configure it, to a location. Role-based permissions keep client-sensitive notes away from personnel who do not need them, and exports are recorded in the audit trail.
