About

Shift Relay is the operating system for organizations that work in shifts

Organizations that run 24 hours a day generate an enormous amount of operational knowledge, and almost all of it has a shelf life of one shift. The problem is not that people do not care about continuity. It is that continuity has historically depended on a conversation held under time pressure, by two people who are both trying to be somewhere else.

What we are building

Shift Relay turns scattered operational information into a clear, actionable shift brief, and ensures important information, responsibilities and unresolved work are passed securely from one shift to the next. Briefings, logs, handoffs, tasks, announcements, equipment status and audit history live in one workspace where they can reference each other instead of being retyped.

How we think about scope

We are deliberately narrow. Shift Relay is not a CAD replacement, an RMS replacement, a dispatch system, a payroll platform or an evidence management system. It complements those systems. That restraint is what lets it be good at the one thing that nothing else owns: the moment responsibility changes hands.

How we think about AI

AI drafts; supervisors decide. Every generated brief, summary or handoff is grounded in records the requesting user is already permitted to see, cites its sources, and stays a draft until a person publishes it. If no AI provider is configured, every core workflow still works.

Where we are

Shift Relay is in early access. We are working with a small number of organizations across public safety and other 24-hour operations to make the handoff workflow genuinely better than the status quo before we widen availability. Request early access if that describes your operation.

Bring every shift into one secure workspace

Shift Relay is in early access for organizations that run around the clock. Tell us how your shifts change hands and we will show you the workflow end to end.
