The work that hurts an operation is rarely the work that gets finished. It is the follow-up that was mentioned once, owned by nobody, and never written down.
A task carried into a new shift keeps the same record. Shift Relay shows the original shift, the currently responsible shift, how many times it has been carried over, the full assignment history, previous notes, the current owner and the current due date.
